Helen

Originates from the Greek name ‘Helene’ meaning ‘light’.

This is Helen, my partner, soul mate and best friend. I have never known anyone like Helen before. I can tell her anything, anything at all and she listens and doesn't judge me. The more of my deep dark secrets she knows the more she loves me. In many ways I have had trouble with coping with this idea, that a woman who comes to know all about me would only love me more for it. My attitude has held us back and that is just amazing to me. She is so gentle, so loving and so supportive that I cannot but help give her my entire heart. She rules my world and I love it. This page, in case you haven't noticed, is dedicated to how I feel about my wonderful partner and how she makes me feel. I won't apologize for the sloppy romance and the slushy feelings because they are what I live for. All else in my life and on this site are secondary to Helen. She is the bright center of this dark universe for me and I am, as a moth to a flame, irresistibly drawn to her.

Helen and I share many passions together, such as our love of the outdoors, especially Norfolk, Wales and Scotland. We love to talk to each other and have fun with our conversations as well as speaking more seriously. We both enjoy a certain type of science fiction, though I am more of a fan than Helen is. Although I have to say that is not the case with Babylon 5. You may have noticed a certain B5 theme to this site, as all members of our household are huge fans.

Helen makes me feel as though no matter what happens to me during the day, it's alright because at the end of every day I get to lie in her arms and feel how much she loves me. She loves me even when I make mistakes or when I'm grumpy. She never loses her temper with me and we never fight. I can honestly say I have never had so much as a shouting match with Helen in our entire (coming up fo)r nine years together. We have had hard times together, but we have always talked (eventually!) and things have always ended stronger between us rather than weaker. If I'm very lucky, I'll spend the rest of my life with this fabulous, precious person.
